Terms of Service

Every good partnership starts with shared expectations. These terms exist to create that foundation — so we can get to the work.

By using this Site or engaging my services, you agree to what's below.

How I Work
Every engagement is different, because every community and organization is different. The specifics of scope, timeline, deliverables, and fees live in a project agreement we build together — not here.

What stays consistent across all my work is the approach: community knowledge shapes the strategy, not the other way around. If that's the frame you're looking for, we're probably a good fit.

Shared Work and Stewardship
Every project involves three parties who each bring something essential.

The community brings lived knowledge that no outside expert can replicate. Insights, stories, and ideas that emerge from community participation belong first to the people they came from. How that knowledge is used and shared will be discussed explicitly at the start of every engagement — and community members always have the right to know how their contributions are being used.

Your organization brings institutional context and the commitment to do things differently. The strategies, frameworks, and materials we create together are yours to use and build on.

I bring methodology, facilitation, and strategic expertise developed across many engagements. The processes I use aren't protectionist — but they do reflect years of practice that I continue to evolve across my work.
The outputs belong to you. The community's contributions support the community. The methods remain part of my living practice.

Transparency and Confidentiality
I don't operate from secrecy. Both your organization and any community members involved in a project are welcome to review the work at any stage — just ask.

I share intentionally, not selectively. At each touchpoint, I share what's relevant to that moment — not to withhold, but because clarity matters more than volume.

What you share with me stays within the project. I won't share any details about your organization or our project with outside parties without your permission, except where required by law.

What I'm Responsible For — and What I'm Not
I bring my full expertise and care to every engagement and stand behind the quality of the process and the work we produce together.

Outcomes that depend on your organization's decisions and implementation after our engagement ends are yours to own — as they should be. Strategy is only as powerful as the will behind it. What I can promise is a process built on honesty, real partnership, and approaches grounded in evidence.

This Site
This Site exists to share my work and make it easy to connect. You're welcome to read and reference what's here. Please don't reproduce or repurpose my content without permission.

I'm not responsible for the content of any external sites I may link to.

When Something Isn't Working
Conflict is a necessary part of any relationship — and handled well, it's how trust deepens. I believe that the path through conflict is a balance of transparency, psychological safety, and a shared commitment to understanding before resolution.

If something feels off — in the work, the relationship, or these terms — I'm here to have that conversation with honesty, without defensiveness, and with a genuine focus on good outcomes for everyone involved.

If after open dialogue or third-party mediation we can't find our way through together, then we will look to the laws of the State of Texas will help guide our next steps.

Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top will reflect that. Your project agreement always takes precedence over anything here.
